One of the biggest players in the British video games industry, Realtime Worlds, has called in the administrators. Making 60 employees redundant last week apparently wasn't enough, and now the remaining 200 staff at the company's Dundee headquarters face unemployment. Hit Read More for full details.

A report from Gamescom is claiming that Portal 2 will be arriving on February 9, 2011 on PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Mac. Valve are yet to confirm this for certain, however it looks to be true.

Edit - Valve have now confirmed this to be true.

The exclusive PS3 multiplayer beta test for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood will begin on 4th October, Ubisoft revealed today.

It was finally confirmed that Bioware's Mass Effect 2 is coming to PS3, and was also hinted that Mass Effect 3 will follow suite.

During its press conferance in Cologne, Sony detailed some pretty interesting stuff even if some things were quote: 'the worst kept secrets' ever. Insomniac announced not one but two games exclusive to the console today. The often rumored and now confirmed Resistance 3 will release sometime in 2011 and take presumably take place on the East Coast if the Statue of Liberty in the title is any indication. The second game is Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One. It is a 4 player co-op game which will feature offline and online drop in drop out cooperative modes. The game is set to release in the Fall of 2011.
